Companies in a range of yachting and boating sectors are continuing to sign up for the Singapore Yacht Show 2015, including such outstanding superyacht builders as Amels, Mondo Marine and Westport Yachts, as well as local companies Prudential Assurance, ICF and Volmag.
Amels
Next year will be the first time that Amels exhibits in the Singapore Show. As one of Holland’s biggest names in luxury yacht building, Amels is perhaps best known for its Limited Edition series of yachts, which bridge the gap between semi-custom and custom. The five yachts in the Limited Edition series each combine sleek and elegant aesthetics and a range of fully customisable options with famous Dutch quality and proven platform for their owners. The platforms are tried and tested, so a build from the Limited Edition series can be completed in almost half the time of a fully customised superyacht of the same size, says Amels. The yard also provides refit and repair work to a wide range of yachts, not just those that it has initially built, at its state of the art facilities in Vlissingen.
Victor Caminada, marketing manager at Amels commented: “We see the Singapore Yacht Show developing as the Asian ‘hub’ for yachting events as it has the best capacity to host high-calibre superyachts, drawing potential high net worth clients to meet Amels and discuss building a yacht with us.”
Mondo Marine
Italy-based superyacht builder Mondo Marine will be exhibiting at the Singapore Yacht Show 2015 for the first time. The yard will present its recently unveiled 57m motor yacht M57 EIDOS concept at the Show. The striking superyacht M57 EIDOS has been designed in collaboration with Enrico Gobbi of Team for Design to meet growing demand from the ‘mid-range’ superyacht market.
“Gobbi has designed a luxury 57m yacht that reflects a sleek design, with a well proportioned and stylish profile that, for the designer, is reminiscent of a sword,” commented Roberto Zambrini, co-owner of Mondo Marine.
Since 2006, Mondo Marine has delivered 10 yachts over 40m in length and six over 50m, including the well-known charter yacht Tribù, the first vessel to be awarded Green Star certification by RINA.
Westport Yachts
Westport Yachts will be returning to the Singapore Yacht Show in 2015 to showcase its range of US-built, semi-custom superyachts. With a global client base for its popular 112ft, 130ft and 164ft ranges, the Westport brand is known for its reliability, consistency and competitive pricing. With over 140 hulls completed since it was established 50 years ago, Westport is the most prolific builder of superyachts in the United States. As a longstanding exhibitor at the Show, the organisers are delighted to be welcoming one of its original supporters to the Pavilion in 2015.
“We take a global approach to marketing the Westport brand, and exhibit at a number of yacht shows around the world. The Singapore Yacht Show is a key event and platform for us to reach what we hope will become a very lucrative market for our semi-custom luxury superyachts,” said Westport’s head of marketing, Ron Nugent.
Prudential Assurance
As one of Singapore’s leading life insurance companies, Prudential Assurance has served the financial and protection needs of Singaporeans for more than 80 years. With products in protection, savings and investment, as of June this year the company had over S$26.5bn of funds under management. The company will be making its first appearance at the Singapore Yacht Show in 2015.
ICF International
Marine interior refurbishment company ICF International is a regional leader in its field, with more than 30 years’ experience and a breadth of skills in design, planning, engineering, construction and delivery of interior spaces. From technical spaces to guest-quality superyacht interiors, ICF International manages refit projects on time and on budget, operating across the globe and headquartered in Singapore.
Volmag
Returning exhibitor Volmag is Singapore’s main authorised sales, service and parts dealer for leading brands Volvo Penta and Mercury Marine. A large team of Volmag engineers and technicians is on hand to provide its customers with preferential access to parts and specialised diagnostic equipment through the company’s exclusive dealership.
