Coast New Zealand, the company specializing in handmade luxury luggage, textiles, as well as furnishings for the superyacht industry, is now offering a more extensive range of interior and exterior products and finishing accessories. These have been developed to meet the needs of both design specifications and onboard practicalities. So far, the company has supplied its products to several outstanding vessels, including the 184’ Feadship charter yacht Illusion, the 280’ Oceanco motor yacht Sunrays, as well as the 196’ Lurssen luxury charter yacht Arkley, to name but a few.
The recent additions to their portfolio focus on offering designers, interior managers and chief stewardesses as well as owners and guests, a range of deck and cabin products choice that encompass the practical onboard necessities without compromising on style, quality and design.
From super soft, breathable and cozy 100% New Zealand wool blankets and throws featuring biodegradable dyes to soft and quick drying 100% washed linen towels, bath sheets and wraps which are woven exclusively for Coast New Zealand at a 100 year old family mill. All textile products can be customised with logos and are light weight, easy to care for and easy to store. To extend the design focus to the exterior, the range features throw cushions available as standard in 60cm x 60cm and in a wide variety of colours with options for bespoke sizes and colours. Made in marine-grade Sunbrella® fabric, the cushions are guaranteed against fading and deterioration even when left outside ensuring these exterior accessories remain fresh and new looking time after time.
In addition to the new accessories, the range includes the impressively spacious, comfortable and luxurious Isla Chair and lounger plus the award winning Marine Bean® outdoor beanbag. With their uniquely comfortable shapes, all of the exterior furniture solutions are ideal for relaxing on deck, easy to clean and store, can withstand prolonged exposure to the elements and yet are elegant enough to complement the interior and exterior design. Both the Isla and Marine Bean collections are also available in the recently Design Excellence Award winning Sunbrella® Heritage Fabric which is softer to touch, hardwearing and highly resistant to fading and deterioration.
“A key focal point in our product development was finding the balance between durability and design. It was essential that the range of products offered the luxury and exclusivity that the superyacht industry expects but could also stand up to the environment, both in terms of marine and onboard practicalities. We are delighted that we have not had to compromise on either aspect and as a result have a range of cabin and deck products that designers, owners and crew can select with the confidence,” comments Nicola Webster, Owner Coast New Zealand.
A selection of Coast New Zealand products will be on display at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show on the Tourism New Zealand, Destination New Zealand stand in the New Zealand pavilion, Quai Jarlan., QJ3.
