Luxury expedition yacht ZEEPAARD (ex Axantha I) has been announced as one of the finalists for the Voyager’s Award 2014 in the World Superyacht Awards, as proudly announced by the French shipyard JFA Yachts. The prestigious World Superyacht Awards will be held in Amsterdam on 3rd May, 2014. Zeepaard superyacht was built by JFA Yachts and delivered in 2003.
This explorer vessel really did an amazing trip! She realised a full world tour following the Equator and going West. Motor Yacht ZEEPAARD spent 3 years and 3 months sailing form Nice to Nice, visiting 39 countries and sailing 50,000 miles.
The Owner of Zeepaard confided these words to the JFA shipyard :
“We began our world tour on July 1, 2009 in Malta, with no plan, no time schedule and no exact route. We would soon discover that this philosophy would make our trip great fun, but would also make the experience a very daring undertaking…I can now look back and reminisce about the best time of my life spent with my dear friends and family.”
Such great trip is a unique way to travel and discover the world:
“After our month in Cuba, we departed for The San Blas Islands – my absolute favourite destination. These islands are an Indian reserve in the state of Panama consisting of a stretch of coastline and some 30 islands, owned and occupied by the Kuna Yala Indians. Stepping on to these islands feels like walking into a National Geographic movie.”
Reading this, JFA Yachts is proud to have build ZEEPAARD yacht, but moreover is proud to have contributed to realising owner’s dreams.
