News comes from Naval Yachts in Bodrum, Turkey about the launch of 23.8m (78’) explorer yacht VANGUARD, the second XPM78. You won’t miss her on the water thanks to the vibrant orange hull which stands out against gun-metal grey superstructure.
Designed for an experienced US owner, she was commissioned in 2021 and boasts exterior design and naval architecture from Artnautica Yacht Design and interiors from the shipyard. Her layout is unique to this model and in line with the owners needs featuring a three-cabin layout, accommodating six guests. The master suite in the bow is enhanced with a skylight over the bed offering the perfect opportunity for star gazing in comfort.
On deck finds an L-shaped seating area, BBQ, fridge and sink, features which are bound to make long cruises more comfortable. Lower bulwarks on the bow create better sight lines and help protect against the waves.
Environmentally conscious features include 36sqm of solar panels, twin hybrid motors and a 120kw battery pack, plus she is equipped with a rotor type stabilising system and autopatch propeller system for added comfort at sea. Stabilisers are a great way to minimise sea sickness, but for an alternative solution help is at hand from See LEVEL – a new and innovative VR headset – reporting remarkable results.
