Martijn Veldhuijzen van Zanten took up the role of export manager at the HISWA Holland Marine Industry on 15 January 2011. He is responsible for promoting and stimulating export of Dutch watersports products and services around the world.
International business has become an inherent part of the watersports industry, with the option to find and compare global products and services via the internet. “Promoting Dutch watersports companies abroad is a major stimulus for their export,” says Veldhuijzen van Zanten. “I look forward to working in this dynamic and innovative sector.”
Veldhuijzen van Zanten is also responsible for initiating, coordinating and realising promotional activities for HISWA Holland Yachting Group, a group of select members of the HISWA Holland Marine Industry that includes the industry’s top shipyards, suppliers, yacht brokers and architects.
Veldhuijzen van Zanten previously worked for four years as senior consultant at Cobben & Van Tulder Marketing & Sales Recruitment. Before that he held various marketing functions in the field of exhibitions and events at companies such as Amsterdam RAI and VNU publishers. Veldhuijzen van Zanten succeeds Farouk Nefzi, who had been combining the HISWA export management duties with his current function as Director of HISWA Multimedia BV. The scope of the work has become such that the role of export manager has become a full-time function in its own right.
