McMullen & Wing is thrilled to announce that it has secured the 10-year refit of the 34m luxury charter yacht VvS1, superbly penned by Gregory C. Marshall. Providing fantastic superyacht charter holidays in the South Pacific, as well as Australia & New Zealand, the 2007 motor yacht VvS1 will enjoy a busy 2016 summer cruising, before being hauled at McMullen & Wing’s Auckland shipyard in April 2016 for an extensive programme of works.
A winner of the World Superyacht Award in 2008 for Best Motoryacht Under 40 Metres, as well as three more awards at World Yacht Trophies in Cannes, luxury expedition yacht VvS1 will undergo a refit that will be centred on survey work and will be largely technical. “The focus of the project will be the yacht’s 10-year Lloyds special survey and replacing the generators and shore power converter, but we will also be undertaking some general maintenance and improvements around the yacht,” commented Richard Low, Projects Manager at McMullen & Wing, himself an accomplished superyacht captain. “We’re looking forward to working closely with the captain and crew to deliver a top quality cost-effective programme of refit works and taking advantage of the availability of McMullen & Wing’s outstanding central Auckland facilities.”
The yard is delighted to be working on the refit of the outstanding VvS1 superyacht. Boasting many decades of experience in refit work and a longstanding working relationship with Marshall – who designed the yard’s 45m charter yacht BIG FISH and the in-build 50m superyacht Hull 1016 – McMullen & Wing represents the perfect choice for the refit of the acclaimed VvS1 yacht.
