The eye-catching 24m Drettmann Explorer Yacht (DEY) will undoubtedly draw attention at the next year’s boot Dusseldorf. The impressive 175-ton DEY24 by Drettmann Yachts sets new standards in terms of comfort and innovation.
This is particularly evident from features such as the generous beach club with sauna and lounge area, or the revolutionary diesel-electric POD drive which not only makes the DEY24 more economical, comfortable and simpler to sail, but simultaneously enables efficient use of space.
“The new drive system is based on tried-and-tested technology, but this is the first time that it has been used in a yacht of this class anywhere in the world. This makes sailing much more fun, makes the vessel perfectly easy to steer, reduces maintenance and optimises energy utilisation. This is just one of the many new features we are proud of,” said Claudia Drettmann.
The new DEY24 boasts a sleek, masculine exterior design, which highlights her sportiness. When it comes to the interior design, however, the focus is on stylish variety. The interiors are not only beautiful, but also functional and comfortable in every single detail.
The Dusseldorf Boat Show marks a well-established success story for Drettmann Yachts. The Elegance Series, predecessors of the Drettmann Motor Yachts (DMY), were first introduced back in 1998 and an amazing number of seven vessels were sold at their premiere at the Show. The Bandido yachts, forerunners of the DEY series, were also a great success right from the start, when they were first presented at the Show in 2007. One of them was actually sold a day before the show even opened. The two new yacht series offered by Drettmann in lengths of between 20 and 45 metres are also expected to have a huge success.
“After more than 45 years in the yacht business and with sales of more than 10,000 vessels including more than 1500 new-build projects in lengths of up to 54m, we have a sufficient basis for comparison to say that our new yachts are state-of-the-art today and will be the classics of tomorrow,” commented Albert Drettmann on the second generation of the company’s Explorer and Motor Yacht series.
