Skiing enthusiasts looking for a truly unforgettable adventure can now head to Antarctica or Greenland for a week-long luxury yacht charter aboard the sensational expedition yacht LEGEND through EYOS Expeditions and Bomber Ski, with six-time Olympic medallist Bode Miller and polar explorer Doug Stoup along for the journey.
The first expedition is scheduled for December 2020 in Antarctica and the second in Greenland in April 2020, with both destinations providing ideal conditions for first tracks and encounters with the local wildlife.
From Chile guests will fly over the Drake Passage to land in Antarctica and board explorer yacht LEGEND for a week-long cruise along the Antarctic Peninsula.
The west coast of Greenland will become the playground for guests during an April expedition, and the dramatic snow-covered mountains can be viewed from above using the helicopter on board as it takes guests directly to the best ski sites. There is also the opportunity for ice climbing, dog-sledding, snowmobiles or fat biking.
Whichever destination guests prefer, the on board guides are available to take the group on boat, kayak or paddleboard tours for seeing the whales and bird life up close.
Bomber Skis CEO Bob Cooper comments: “These are the signature events of Bomber Experiences—tailored events designed for the passionate skier looking for the best experience, anywhere, creating memories for a lifetime. We’ll be in both Antarctica and Greenland in the early season, when the snow is still fresh and pristine, and enjoy stunning runs from peak to coast, enjoyable for skiers of every level.”
77m/254ft explorer yacht LEGEND was built in 1974 and last refitted in 2015 to renew her interiors and meet the demands of modern luxury yacht charter guests who want to venture anywhere in the world. Guests can follow their meal with a range of drinks from the well-stocked bar or resting near the fireplace.

Among her other amenities is a cinema, a spa pool with a waterfall, a spa massage centre and a gym, plus a wide selection of water toys and vehicles including snow scooters, submarines and a helicopter to make the most of every location, on land or in the water.
Cooper continues: “Bode, a material owner and global brand ambassador of Bomber, is intricately involved in the development of every ski that leaves our factory. His love for alpine culture and relentless quest for ski perfection drives Bomber to be more than just a manufacturer of the best skis in the world. This will be his first time in Antarctica, and he couldn’t be more excited to ski the 7th continent! Additionally, polar explorer Doug Stoup, having just completed his 50th trip to Antarctica, brings insights and experience second to none.”
