Leading luxury performance motor yacht manufacturer, Fairline Boats has updated and redesigned the award-winning Squadron 55 to create the Squadron 58, which is scheduled for launch at the Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show 2011 in January. The new model incorporates key design trends and ongoing signature Fairline styling as seen on the latest generation Fairline Squadron and Targa models with their spacious and light-filled accommodation.
With the longer length hull sees the introduction of an extended cockpit seating area, continuing Fairline’s trend towards sociable layouts. The extended cockpit seating area brings greater headroom above the bed in the fourth-crew cabin. Panoramic windows feature throughout the boat. The new length also allows for a larger master cabin, featuring panoramic hull windows.
To help make the most of the time on the water, the innovative, patent-pending concealed mechanised Fairline Tender Launch, for either a Williams 325 Jet RIB or a Valiant Dynamic 2.7m, is fitted as standard. As with the Squadron 65, the latest model features an overhead lift-up transom shower.
A two-stage, sliding patio door allows the area leading from the cockpit to the saloon to be opened up. Giving further space to these living areas, the high level lockers have been relocated from both sides of the saloon and cleverly designed storage has been positioned in the saloon sofa; simply lift the top cushion to reveal. Newly designed mid-level lockers in the starboard guest cabin are now twice as wide as previously. Other new features include a radar on the flybridge as standard.
The Squadron 55 was first launched in 1995 and the Squadron 58 followed in 2000. The design success of these models helped lead the way in the latest generation of Squadron flybridge motor yachts, which introduce new innovation and Fairline design trends such as the Tender Launch Mechanism. Launched in 2008, the latest Squadron 55 was widely well-received and its expansive full width master cabin amidships and spacious flybridge made a key design statement. With the extra interior and exterior space coupled with up-to-the-minute Fairline technology brings the latest evolution in the model, creating the Squadron 58.
