Yet another fantastic launch news to add to this year’s increasingly exciting superyacht portfolio: 35-metre motor yacht CID, built by the renowned Feadship shipyard has hit the water today in the presence of her proved owner who has overseen the entire design and built process with great involvement. CID has explored the local Dutch canals on her maiden voyage before undertaking the two-day sea trial in the North Sea and around the Wadden Islands.
The yacht was designed to accommodate Feadship’s client and his guests in comfort while enjoying visiting bays and marinas normally not accessible by larger vessels. CID has been designed with huge glass panels and Mocca brown exterior features, resulting in a very sleek vessel with a masculine profile.
Following her delivery, CID is planning on cruising the Fjords and the rest of the Mediterranean before moving onto Mexico’s west coast for the winter and on to the Baja California peninsula the following summer. She is well fitted for moving around shallow areas as well as cruising from one destination to another efficiently. She is a top speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.
The yacht will be serviced by a crew of six while the Owner will spend much of the tie at the helm himself. For this reason, a fixed Bimini has been created on the flybridge to offer shade when driving CID from here. The top deck flybridge is the largest in terms of length ever done on a Feadship vessel. There is also a huge table seating sixteen guests, which makes part of one of five great areas offering al fresco dining. In addition, sun beds that recline as well as a large pop-out TV can be found here. The hydraulic swim platform is ideal for easy access to the water to enjoy the water toys CID carries. There are also two tenders stored on board for the guests and the owner.
The interior was designed with practical use in mind. Bannenberg & Rowell created a simple, yet beautiful interior, which features wooden floors, as well as some details of oak, walnut and wenge. Marty Lowe created stylish and sophisticated decor with soft furnishing, artworks to achieve a calm atmosphere of the West Coast.
