From the Forlì shipyard comes the new superyacht FERRETTI YACHTS 720, due to debut in the Mediterranean in summer 2019. Measuring 22.3m/73.4ft with a beam of 18.4ft/5.6m, the size is ideal for small family and friends groups looking to enjoy plenty of space to themselves, both in terms of the cabin space as well as the shared guest areas.
She was originally unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2018 and the first unit was also sold during the event. Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department were responsible for her naval architecture while it is the second exterior styling project for architect Filippo Salvetti in collaboration with Ferretti Group. The interior styling was also created by the shipyard in a collaboration between Ferretti Group’s architects and the in-house team.
The exteriors have an interchangeable forward area, and the 30m2/322.9ft2 flybridge has three different layouts in carbon fibre and composite materials for the hardtop: fixed window, built-in bimini, or adjustable louvres. Below, the lower deck swim platform has convertible chaise-loungers and ample storage, with room to store a tender up to 3.95m/12.95ft in length.
Inside, the main deck aft is designed for effortless family living and there are two ample sofas aft of the raised dining area. The helm station is placed forward and is integrated with the Naviop-Simrad LOOP systems and the electro-hydraulic steering system, developed in partnership with XENTA.
On the lower deck there are four guest cabins, with the 20m2/215ft2 Master suite placed amidships to benefit from the full beam. Two double cabins are placed to starboard and they share a bathroom, which can also be used as a day head. Forward, there is a VIP stateroom with an en-suite and a separate shower. As with the FERRETTI YACHTS 670 model, Owners have the choice of two interior design styles with a selection of different furnishings and colour schemes.
There are two engine configurations available, the standard version furnished with a pair of MAN V8 engines producing 1,200 HP. The first hull will be installed with twin MAN V12 engines creating 1,400 HP, which in turn produce a top speed of 32 knots and a cruising speed of 28 knots.
For the Asian market, the FY720 will also be available in the Tai He Ban version, where a service galley is included below decks and the inclusion of a dining room on the main deck furnished with a circular table.
