The first edition of The London Yacht, Jet & Prestige Car Show opened its doors in Old Billingsgate and St Katharine Docks on Wednesday, April 8, with the final day of the event running today, on Friday, April 10. This week thus marks a new chapter for the London show scene.
For the first time in several years, the world’s leading superyacht and luxury yacht builders & brokers have been participating in the event and among the yacht builders are Abeking & Rasmussen, Amels, Azimut, Benetti, Blohm + Voss, CRN, Discovery, Ferretti, Fincantieri, Gunfleet, Holland Jachtbouw, Lürssen Yachts, Nautor’s Swan, Nobiskrug, Ocea, Outer Reef, Oyster, Pendennis, Princess, Sanlorenzo, Sunseeker, Sunrise Yachts & Westport to name but a few…..
The cars have certainly been a big hit with visitors with custom Range Rovers from Kahn Design flanking the red carpet entrance, and McLarens, Nobles and Aston Martins taking centre stage in the super car grid. Vesaro brought a Formula 1 simulator which is proving hugely popular.
The show also hosted a number of ‘fashion experiences’ with leading designers and exceptional talent and vision from the fashion industry.
The 3-day event, sponsored by Ulysse Nardin and Willis has attracted an exceptional number of visitors so far with the show arena at Old Billingsgate being a hub of activity in B2B and B2C markets.
Over at the second venue at St Katharine Docks, the show has been blessed with sunshine and perfect conditions for the in-water event and provided the perfect location for the luxury yachts and small craft on display. Complementing the yachts, a collection of luxury companies are showcasing at Marble Quay – an element to complement the in-water show.
Peter Bryant, Event Director of this inaugural show said: “We needed the right location to provide both a natural setting for the in-water element of the show and a prestigious backdrop for our international visitors, and St Katharine Docks was the obvious choice. This is a major luxury lifestyle event spanning two iconic central London locations and the first of its kind in the capital.”
In addition to yachts, cars and jets, there is plenty to see for the connoisseurs of luxury fine living, with exhibitions ranging from bespoke furniture, jewellery, audio entertainment systems to high fashion and design.
The show is open from 12.00pm – 8.00pm and we look forward to seeing you where visitors can expect the exceptional!
