The highly anticipated 12th edition of the prestigious Asia Superyacht Rendezvous is currently going through the final days of preparation. Most of the yachts have arrived and captains, crew as well as VIP guests are enjoying some sun, sailing and socializing.

The buzz in Phuket is growing daily with Christmas around the corner and Phuket’s beaches are bustling with families, honeymooners, holiday makers and friendly locals. This week the Asia Superyacht Rendezvous will be welcoming sponsors FEADSHIP, BOAT International Media and Royal Huisman to its shores, whilst official photographers get their cameras ready to capture those unforgettable moments and mind blowing images in Phuket’s spectacular Bang Thao Bay.
Asia Superyacht Rendezvous hosts Angsana Laguna and Xana Beach Club have everything from mouth-watering cuisine and delightful wines to a welcoming atmosphere and breathtaking setting and they are all set for takeoff on December 16th.
This year’s Rendezvous will have 8 jaw-dropping Superyachts anchored in Bang Thao Bay. The Rendezvous will have three FEADSHIP’s, motor yacht Callisto, superyacht Samax and M/Y Helix. The 44 meter luxury yacht Helix is the 5th F45 Vantage series FEADSHIP and was launched in 2011 and she is currently doing a tour of Asia.

Royal Huisman’s elegant 57 meter sailing yacht Twizzle is the first vessel completely styled by the shipyard themselves by their talented team of Redman Whiteley Dixon, with the interior scheme from Todhunter Earle Associates and the naval architecture by Dubois Naval Architects. Also joining the event will be the exotic Phinisi, charter yacht Silolona, luxurious S/Y Yanneke Too and charter yacht Maverick, as well as the very powerful charter yacht Shamoun.
Phuket is continuously playing host to more and more yachts each year and this season it is proving to be an extremely popular destination for the festive season. The region as a whole is seeing a massive growth in the number of Superyachts for short visits and some are now calling Asia ‘home’.
The Rendezvous will kick off early evening on December 16th and all will be full steam ahead from start to finish. S/Y Silolona will welcome many new faces aboard and will without a doubt impress all eyes that look upon her. Two exciting days of sailing have been arranged and sailing yachts will eagerly race one another whilst motor yachts follow in suit.
Off-shore and at sea, day and night, from 16-18 December, Bang Thao Bay will be filled with smiles, laughs and superyacht’s and those passing by will wish they could join in on the excitement of this exclusive event.
