Italian shipyard Fincantieri Yachts announced at the Monaco Yacht Show 2019 their new 80.8m/265ft naval-inspired superyacht concept, VIS, meaning ‘Force’ or ‘Energy’ in Latin.
The exterior styling was created in conjunction with famed Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski and is immediately eye-catching in her appearance, featuring solar panels that shelter the helm station, fold-down terraces and spacious alfresco social areas.
M/Y VIS has a draft of 4m/13ft and a broad beam of 14.2m/46.6ft contributing to her interior volume of 2,470 GT. Her tender garage has room for a 8.5m/27.9ft limousine. Both the flush foredeck and main deck aft have extensive onboard space that can be modified with free-standing furniture to suit the occasion and the weather.
The onboard accommodation is designed for up to 14 guests over 7 en-suite staterooms, plus a crew of 23 to keep everything running smoothly onboard.
Twin diesel engines provide a transatlantic range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
Not only is she innovative in appearance, she is also equipped with the latest architectural solutions and technology from a company with a 230-year reputation in shipbuilding which has translated into quality superyachts such as 134m/439.6ft SERENE from 2011 and 140m/459ft OCEAN VICTORY from 2014.
