The well known Italian company, Fipa Group, is currently attending the 2012 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, exhibiting its splendid superyacht AB 116. There is also the luxury motor yacht Maiora 29 Convertible on show.
The new motor yacht AB 116 (an example can be superyacht Blue Force One) perfectly showcases the recognizable AB Yachts style with her streamlined and aggressive hull lines. Like every jewel in this line, she is based on the idea of navigating at high speed in any sea condition without having to compromise comfort thanks to ample and generous interior spaces.
The construction techniques used are those AB Yachts have become renowned for, with the use of lightweight materials, advanced composites and special bonding methods which have become the point of reference in the yachting industry.
The interior design of the AB 116 yacht has been skillfully designed by Guido De Groot and his staff. The imperatives which have guided the development of her interior are the design and stylistic approach of the very highest quality, as well as extreme attention to even the smallest details. The contrasting colors of her interiors, where white, black and grey predominate, create an elegant harmony with the exterior for which the new “Silver Gold” color was chosen.
Pure and sober lines are combined with precious marbles to give the interiors a unique and elaborate look. The main saloon was conceived with guest comfort and entertainment in mind with a spacious U-shaped lounge area, a TV concealing system and a large dining table capable of seating up to twelve people.
Another main characteristic of this AB 116 is undoubtedly her second saloon located on the lower deck where the windshield in front of the main helm acts as a light well and bathes this area in natural light thereby ensuring a complete relaxation under open skies for its occupants.
Located aft of this lower deck saloon is the guest accommodation which features 2 twin and 1 double VIP cabins, each en-suite with their own bathroom, and a grand full-beam master cabin with large portholes which give the impression of being in contact with the sea. This master cabin is itself divided in several distinct areas: a lounge, a gym with a shower, main bathroom and the sleeping area with its king-size bed.
Accessed forward of the lower saloon area are the crew quarters with the main galley, a crew mess, and 3 twin cabins with a bathroom each. The extreme care and attention to detail is also obvious in the outside deck areas: the teak-laid cockpit is conceived to maximize spaces dedicated to relaxation and a lounge atmosphere is created with designer sofas and lounge chairs.
The foredeck features another user-friendly zone with a dining table, U-shaped seating as well as a sunbathing area. Truly spacious seating and sunbathing areas are also present on the flybridge where the upper helm position is located in the middle and another dining area with fridge and icemaker is located aft.
Full customization, comfort and unrivaled performance are what AB Yachts stand for – a worldwide leader in the construction of waterjet propulsion cruisers.
