Construction of the first SD35 motor yacht GIPSY is currently well underway at the Genoa-based shipyard Otam, reporting a 30% completion of this exciting new project. The hull of the 35-metre superyacht GIPSY has been successfully finished, with her superstructure also nearing completion. Propulsion systems and generators have been also installed.
All-aluminium super yacht GIPSY is a one of a kind vessel, fully meeting her Owner’s very personal taste both with the interiors as well as the exteriors. These were created by the world-renowned design firm Tommaso Spadolini.
The main deck of GIPSY yacht hosts a generous main salon with movie theater and a full-beam dining area. There are also service areas, with a top class gallery and a pantry with separate access for the crew.
The upper deck of GIPSY superyacht is fully dedicated to her Owner, offering fantastic views and maximum privacy. The additional four VIP cabins with twin and double beds and relative en-suites bathrooms, can be all found the lower deck.
In terms of performance, the new Otam SD35 luxury yacht GIPSY can achieve a top speed of 22 knots and a remarkable range of 1,000 nautical miles at 11 knots, thanks to her very efficient semi-displacement hull. This was developed by the yard’s engineering team, in partnership with naval architect Umberto Tagliavini.
Moreover, the hull of GIPSY yacht below the waterline features semi-tunnels that limit the draft. This makes the vessel a very versatile yacht, ideal for comfortable cruise the international waters like US and the Caribbean, where a limited draft becomes a key factor to consider.
