On the 21st of April this year, Rossinavi launched the Aston 50 superyacht known as FLYING DAGGER II (ex.FR036), an Aston 50 commissioned by a private client with naval architecture from Arrabito Naval Architects, interiors from Lazzarini Pickering Architetti and exterior styling from Enrico Gobbi of Team4Design.
The 50m/164ft motor yacht features a sleek hull with an on-trend plumb bow and a silver-grey metallic hull and superstructure and the alfresco recreational spaces give guests a main deck aft, upper deck and flybridge taking advantage of her 8.9m/29ft beam. The foredeck meanwhile is fitted with broad sofa/sunpads with room for an alfresco dining table in front, and the novel bow section places the tender garage forward on the lower deck, with a Davit crane for simple launches and retrievals.
Three large floor-to-ceiling glass panel doors open up the lounge to the fresh air for combining the best of indoor/outdoor living. The Master suite also benefits from easy access to the outdoors through full-height glass doors that serve to illuminate the interior.
The noise and sound reduction on board is comparable with a full-displacement yacht, ensuring that guests have a restful night’s sleep and have little disturbance from the engines while resting above deck.
Using 3 x MTU 16V2000 M96L she has a range of 3,300 nautical miles at 12 knots, a cruising speed of 24 knots and a top speed of 31 knots to provide the owner with a great versatility to suit the occasion.
