Some great news for a popular France yacht charter destination, as the Paris-based marina consultancy, MDL France, has proudly announced that they have been selected to work on a new design study on behalf of the Communauté du Golf de Saint-Tropez, as part of an amazing new project. This will see the installation of moorings close to the Plage de Pampelonne, a world-renowned destination for luxury superyachts, positioned near the fabulous French Riviera yacht charter location – St.Tropez.
The main goal of this exciting new project is to reduce the impact of visiting vessels on local marine wildlife, by encouraging superyachts to make use of new moorings, rather than laying to anchor off the beach.
MDL France will be involved in the extensive project management for the study and will be supported by three partners – Fugro, Innosea and Jifmar. These will provide specialist assistance with the study, which comprises layout design, meteorological and wave studies, a geotechnical study, as well as environmental input.
Francois Ricaud, President of MDL France, said: “We are very pleased to have been selected as marina consultant to the Communauté du Golf de Saint-Tropez. Saint-Tropez is known throughout the world for its status as a luxury boating destination and Plage de Pampelonne is a real jewel in its crown, so it’s a high profile development to be working on.”
MDL France is a partner of MDL Marinas Group Ltd, Europe’s leading marina operator, as well as MDL Marina Consultancy, specialist marina consultants. Eamonn Feeney, Managing Director of MDL Marinas, commented: “We are delighted that MDL France has been appointed to manage this development at one of Europe’s most prestigious yachting destinations. Our specialist consultancy team will be supporting MDL France with services and advice on all aspects of this project and we look forward to getting started.”
