Three new designs developed by the prestigious Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski have been introduced by the Italian shipyard Baglietto at this year’s Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. These include the 46m Baglietto displacement yacht, the 58m Baglietto displacement yacht, as well as the 46m Baglietto Fast planing yacht. The 46m Baglietto displacement superyacht project boasts an unprecedented, dynamic profile created by a unique combination of soft shapes and square lines.
A combination of geometric shapes and very sleek outer lines is the key feature of the new 46m Baglietto displacement yacht in steel and aluminium, characterised by a skilful blend of different but complementary design styles, in which every single stroke of Francesco Paszkowski’s pencil contributes to the creation of a unique, original craft.
The very streamlined bow reminds of Nordic boats, characterised by slightly square lines, just like those of the glazing on the main deck and along the freeboard, which alternate with the softer curves of the solid wood handrails along the deck aisles.
The upper deck glazing is inclined forward, rounded towards the stern and increasingly linear as it gradually dips towards the bow. The aft part of the incredibly roomy sundeck is bounded by a slightly curved stern rail.
The interiors – which also stand out for their highly contemporary look – feature a traditional layout with a living room, the dining area and the master’s stateroom (including the cabin, the office area and a large head) on the main deck and four guest cabins, two double and two fitted with twin beds, on the lower deck.
The crew quarters – three twin cabins with head and shower, a dinette and galley, a laundry – are located on the lower deck, while the main galley and the storeroom are on the main deck and are connected to the dining area.
Two Caterpillar 3512B engines allow the 46m Baglietto displacement yacht to reach a maximum speed of approximately 17 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots, with a range of 4,500 miles.
