The well known Italian builder, Baglietto, attended this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) presenting its newest 46m FAST planing yacht project in aluminium. Designed by renowned Francesco Paszkowski, the 46m Baglietto FAST planing superyacht was presented together with the 46m Baglietto displacement yacht as well as the 58m Baglietto displacement yacht.
Continuity and evolution
The 46m Baglietto Fast planing yacht along with the 58m Baglietto displacement yacht represent two projects in the company’s new era, with both exteriors and interiors signed by the Francesco Paskowski Design firm. They both represent a natural evolution for the shipyard and integrate new stylistic features with the traditional ones that have made Baglietto’s yachts famous all over the world.
Drawing inspiration from the sleek profile of the aluminium planing yachts that have made the brand’s success everywhere in the world, the outer lines of the new 46-metre Baglietto planing yacht are the perfect embodiment of dynamism, thanks to a gritty, receding bow which – juxtaposed to a sturdy stern characterised by the hawse holes -recreates the shipyard’s traditional family feeling.
The trapezoidal hull glazing alternates with the rectangular windows located at two different levels and enhance the hull’s slender shape, resulting in a more contemporary, catchy exterior look. Another innovative feature of the 46m Baglietto Fast planing yacht’s outer lines is the compact superstructure, whose limited height results in increased aerodynamics.
The bow has been conceived to include a helipad, so as to meet an increasingly frequent request by large-yacht owners. The 46m Baglietto Fast planing yacht project also focused on the outdoor areas, aiming to maximise contact with the sea both while cruising and when at anchor: the aft part of the main deck is de facto a large terrace overlooking the sea, a spacious teak expanse with room enough to fit a large table and a spacious sunbathing area.
Interiors include 4 guest cabins with ensuite bath in the lower deck while the Owner’s suite with wellness area, office and dressing room is located on the main deck. The upper deck include the sky lounge with conversation area, captain’s cabin and the wheelhouse. Crew quarters with 4 cabins, galley and crew mess are on the lower deck. Outside comfortable al fresco areas to enjoy with friends.
To MTU 16V4000 engines pushes the 46m Baglietto planing yacht project to a top speed of about 26 knots. The vessel will be registered by the American Bureau of Shipping in compliance with MCA rules and regulations.
