Running from November 12 to 14, the 2012 Global Superyacht Forum will feature a future focused programme, as announced by Superyacht Events, the organising arm of The Superyacht Group as well as planner of the most powerful superyacht events all over the world.
The Global Superyacht Market’s Next Generation is one of the forum’s three core objectives set out in the brochure, beautifully designed and just launched by Superyacht Events.
“In 2012 our focus is on the next generation and new thinking. Therefore, we promise to bring to you, our delegates, a programme and event mix that is better than ever, with more dynamism, forward thinking and fresh ideas,” said Superyacht Group Chairman Martin Redmayne in the brochure’s introductory address.
GSF, returning to its location at the Amsterdam RAI, is the focus point and meeting hub for the world’s superyacht industries. Its three core objectives have been chosen to headline each of the event’s three days to ensure a focused, hard hitting series of debates, panel discussions and papers.
On day one, the theme is The Global Superyacht Market’s New Business Plan. Bringing together some of the brightest minds in the industry to explore what areas of our current business plan need to change and explore ways of changing them, sessions will question how we can build a better business. All sectors fromdesign and engineering to marketing, sales and supply, will be embraced.
Setting the theme for day two, is The Global Superyacht Market’s New Ideas and New Thinking. Leading from the premise that the industry needs to deliver a more robust and stable product range that is clear to the myriad of clients in the future, debates will deliver some honest answers and options.
Fittingly on the final day with an eye turned towards what’s next on the horizon is our focus on the future with The Global Superyacht Market’s Next Generation. On this day a host of freethinking, creative models and next generation ideas will be explored. What do the next generation want both interms of clients and the younger business leaders who will drive our industry over the next 20 years? The time has come to listen to those who will be leading us into the future.
Commenting on Global Superyacht Forum 2012, Superyacht Events’ director, Georgina Lucey said: “GSF is undoubtedly our biggest event. Whilst our many events held throughout the year are focused on specific countries’ business plans, GSF is a globally focused programme where delegates worldwide can meet and collaborate. It’s a unique, once-in-a-year chance for us all to work together to change the industry for the better now and in the future. We’re also excited to return to Amsterdam, the epicentre of large yachting and one of Europe’s most sociable cities, where we can look forward to some valuable and enjoyable networking, revisiting old connections and forging new ones.”
