GAC Bunker Fuels (GAC BF) is putting new focus on the yachting sector with the appointment of industry veteran Murray Bishop to drive direct business with superyachts and their ancillary craft.
Although the company has played a key role in arranging fuel supplies for many superyachts around the world, this is the first time that GAC BF is offering and promoting its services direct to the industry.
Yachts have very specific requirements for bunker fuels and lubricants, both in terms of the logistics to deliver them and the specifications of the product supplied. GAC BF has the resources and expertise to make sure the right product is delivered, at the right price and at the right time to meet the tight timescales of the superyacht sector.
As Yacht Fuels Trading Manager, Murray Bishop brings more than a decade experience in the international bunkers market to GACBF’s well-established global team. His priority is to ensure the reliable supply of high quality marine fuel and lubricants direct to superyachts and their ancillary craft on a worldwide basis.
“GAC’s global network gives us direct access to local supply markets unrivalled by any other company in the superyacht fuelling market today,” he says. “That gives us a strategic advantage, both in sourcing the best quality product at the best price and in ensuring that supply is smoothly delivered.”
Anthony Mollet, GAC Bunker Fuels’ Managing Director, adds: “We have a long history of arranging fuel supplies to superyachts in the Red Sea, Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, Caribbean, Europe and the Far East. That experience, combined with the large portfolio of additional services the GAC Group can provide to superyachts, their owners and crew, led us to the decision to enter this important niche market directly.
“In Murray, we know we have the right person to drive this exciting new business to make this a successful venture.”
