This year’s Genoa International Boat Show steers towards an even greater internationalization. Amongst the novelties are an international publicity campaign extended to emergent country media, communication through social networks in various languages and a reception counter in Fiera for foreign visitors.

Genoa International Boat Show 2012

The idea of the Genoa Boat Show, this year at its 53rd edition and scheduled from 2 through to 6 October next, is to be an increasingly international venue.

The decisions which the organizers intend to pursue in this year’s edition in fact address the new global geography of potential customers and visitors, particularly from the Far and Middle East emergent countries, to consolidate and multiply foreign attendance to the Show which, in 2012, was just on 22,000 units.

And it is for this reason that, apart from the advertising campaign and usual editorials on Italy, an innovative diversified international publicity campaign has been programmed not only for confirmed countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Holland and the Czech Republic, but also for specialized media in Russia, Turkey, Middle East and Hong Kong-Singapore, precisely to draw upon new business outlets and potentiality for development in rapidly growing countries and economies demonstrating an interest in Made in Italy products where Italian boating has always excelled.

At the same time major media partnerships have been struck up with top sector magazines throughout the world, which are starting to give over a lot of space to the novelties of the 2013 Show, its innovative more functional layout, new thematic areas, enhanced services and the many side-events gradually taking shape in Genoa for the 5 days of the event.

But the attention addressed to reception and information for visitors coming from all over the world does not stop here.

From the very beginning communication through social networks will be in various languages to reach an increasingly far ranging, cosmopolitan public and a special reception counter will be set up for the event, with specialized multilingual personnel to provide visitors with all the information on the Show in its new format, making the visit to the city of Genoa a better organized and more enjoyable one.
