Friday, November 1, 2013, will see the Queensland Premier, The Honourable Campbell Newman MP, officially open the 3rd annual Gold Coast International Marine Expo at a special ceremony.
Gold Coast International Marine Expo president Stephen Milne will begin proceedings at 10am by officially welcoming Premier Campbell Newman to the Expo on behalf of the 204 individual exhibitors.
A representative from each of the Expo’s four charities, the Rotary Club of Coomera River, Sailability Gold Coast, the Westpac Surf Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Service, and Paradise Kids, will bring an arm of the Expo’s X up to the main stage and place it on the wall behind Premier Newman who will place the Expo logo in the centre of the X to mark the official opening of the Expo.
The St Stephen’s College drum line band will perform a short piece at the beginning of the official opening ceremony.

10am sharp – A performance by the St Stephen’s drum line band will begin official proceedings as guests assemble at the Expo’s main stage for the formal welcome of Premier Campbell Newman who will address the crowd and formally announce the Expo is open.
10.10am – One representative from each of the Expo’s four charities are welcomed on stage to hang their section of the Expo logo.
Once all four parts of the X logo are in place, Expo President Stephen Milne will invite Premier Campbell Newman to place the final piece in place, the central logo that will mark the opening of the 3rd annual Gold Coast International Marine Expo.
