The construction phase of the Golfito Marina Resort & Village, the newest luxury marina resort for private and charter yachts measuring up to 110m (350’) in length, nestled in the fantastic Costa Riva yacht vacation location, was announced during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) on November 5, 2015. At the end of February, the main pier will be in place and will be able to accommodate a 100m yacht.
The project is being developed by Hacienda El Dorado S.A. Once completed, the approximately 40-acre Golfito Marina Village and Resort will be one of the newest first-class yachting, sports fishing, eco-tourism and luxury resort destinations in the world. It will boast 138 slips that will accommodate luxury yachts and superyachts from 30 to 350ft in length. The project’s first phase, which will include 52 slips and a restaurant, is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter.
Surrounded by year-round calm waters, the resort itself will serve as a new and unique superyacht charter destination in a location previously inaccessible to Super Yachts. South of the hurricane zone, Golfito Bay represents a safe harbor and is the only approved drop-off and pick-up zones for yacht transport ships on the west coast of Central and South America. The marina will boast a wonderful array of amenities, including an on-site customs and immigration office, a 265-foot high volume fuel dock and a full-service boat yard.
Adding to its unique amenities and lucrative location, the project also features an eco-friendly design that will maximize the preservation of its surrounding natural setting, marked by unobstructed bay views and government-protected rainforests and beaches.
