In late May, 5-star Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort in Halkidiki opened its brand new marina to superyachts cruising the Mediterranean. Able to accommodate motor yachts of up to 40 metres, the marina in Kassandra, Haldiki, offers a welcome shelter along the Grecian coast.
From concept to construction, the marina was designed to excel in water circulation to prevent bacterial build-up on yacht hulls. Every aspect is designed for minimal impact on the pristine environment in which it is built, and experts from Aristotle University conducted wind and current studies to this end. Two bridge-like jetties mitigate the swell and swing of any chartered yachts moored in the marina and also self-clean with the flow of the sea.
A Miraggio Marina spokesman commented that the construction “is one of the best technologically advanced sea developments in Greece because of its overall architecture, positioning and modern engineering methods”.
The Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort provides both essential and state-of-the-art facilities at its marina, including 24-hour security, electricity and water service pedestals, Wi-Fi, a pump-out station, a petrol and diesel gas station and an on-site café and restaurant. Amongst its many services, the resort also offers a heliport and tailor made activities, trips and excursions, making it the perfect getaway destination for chartered superyachts.
