The first day of the Dubai International Boat Show got off to an exciting start with many shipbuilders using the occasion to debut their latest models, and local shipyard Gulf Craft took pride of place with the unveiling of the first MAJESTY 140 superyacht.
Bridging the gap between the MAJESTY 135 and the MAJESTY 155, the 42.67m/140ft tri-deck motor yacht was recently launched and spotted on sea trials ahead of her public debut.
The exterior uses a reverse angle in the wheelhouse glazing, adding a defining signature to her profile that differs her from other Majesty Yachts.
The interior decor uses Italian leather, crystal doorknobs and onyx Costa Blanca marble. Large windows run the length of the open-plan main salon, where there is a stately formal dining area to seat up to 10 guests and an L-shaped seating area. There is also a beach club and a 55m²/180ft² skylounge for alternative spaces to unwind and socialise.
Her 360 GT interior volume provides plenty of space for guest amenities and large shared and private relaxation areas, with the accommodation sleeping up to 12 guests across five cabins. The main deck Master suite has a fold-down side terrace and a Jacuzzi in the en-suite bathroom. The crew of 9 have accommodation in the bow and the aft of the lower deck, leaving other areas free for guest facilities. Twin 2,600 HP MTU diesel engines produce a maximum speed of 20 knots.
Gulf Craft is also working on its flagship superyacht the MAJESTY 175, which is due to launch in 2019.
