Gulf Craft, one of the world’s top 10 superyacht manufacturers, was once again present at the Kuwait Yacht Show, which took place at the Marina Crescent, Kuwait from February 2-7, 2014. Their motor yacht Majesty 121 was the largest superyacht showcased at the Show.
Erwin Bamps, Chief Operating Officer at Gulf Craft says the Kuwait Yacht Show offers a valuable opportunity for the company to connect with one of its largest customer bases in the Gulf, which is second only to the UAE.
“It’s very encouraging to see a regular yacht show presence being developed in Kuwait which underscores the continuing keenness of the market on boating and yachting as a popular leisure activity,” said Bamps.
“Kuwait has always welcomed new models from Gulf Craft due to the clients’ appreciation for innovation and their trust in our brand due to our long history in the market. Our local dealer, Al Boom Marine is a very well respected dealer in Kuwait and offers a full scale service for boats and yachts of Gulf Craft,” added Bamps.
“Kuwait is our second largest market in the Gulf and we have enjoyed great loyalty and patronage from our clients in Kuwait. This is an ideal opportunity to get closer to a key customer base that has helped grow our business to a dominating position in the country, the region and internationally,” he concluded.
A clear market leader, Gulf Craft has showcased a strong line-up of craft from across its range of yachts, including the Majesty 121, Majesty 63 and Majesty 56. The Majesty 121 yacht was the largest craft to have ever been displayed at the Kuwait Yacht Show and it was the first time Gulf Craft has brought a superyacht of this size to Kuwait. Along with the Majesty Yachts brand, other models from the Oryx sport yachts and cruisers and Silvercraft fishing boats were also on display.
Home to roughly one-fifth of the GCC’s boats – a significantly high share given the country’s size and coastline relative to its neighbors – Kuwait has historically possessed a seafaring culture with fishing, cruising and on board socializing a common leisure pursuit among Kuwaiti nationals. In terms of market maturity, Kuwaiti ranks alongside the UAE as Kuwaitis have a great understanding and appreciation of a boating lifestyle, and demand continues to be strong for a broad range of craft.
