Hainan Rendez-Vous will go even higher in terms of celebrations when the 4th edition of the event runs in Sanya on Hainan Island from March 30th to April 2nd. In order to draw attention of even greater numbers of China’s leading corporate leaders, organisers are working on an even larger and richer program of celebratory events.
From jet manufacturers to yacht builders to elite lifestyle brands, everybody is on board to create once again a unique Rendez-Vous for everyone. Guests will enjoy four full days of tastings, sharings, gala dinners, casual cocktail hours, art discussions, dance parties and much more, the celebrations being as diverse as they are numerous, as meaningful as they are fun.
Anniversaries
Several anniversaries and launches will be celebrated this year at Hainan Rendez-vous, among them the 150th anniversary of Bernardaud, Dassault’s 50th anniversary, Benetti’s 140th anniversary, the 100th anniversary of Aston Martin and more. Lacoste’s 80th anniversary is going to be incredible, so get ready to party.
A stimulating venue
“Our show is where China’s current owners of jets and yachts interact and share experiences with the country’s ‘owners to be’,” says Delphine Lignieres, founder of the Hainan Rendez-Vous and CEO of the organising company, China Rendez-Vous, Ltd. “Hainan Rendez-Vous is the perfect platform for making and reinforcing personal and business relationships.”
Over 130 yachts will be on display at Hainan Rendez-Vous 2013, among them six super yachts over 40 metres in length. Fourteen jets will be on exhibit by the VIP Terminal at Phoenix International Airport, and over 220 exhibitors will display their finest products.
Pernod Ricard returns with a new “Le Cercle” VIP Lounge this year, as well as a larger version of its Perrier-Jouët Champagne Bar, and the Mandarin Oriental Café managed by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Sanya will be a centre of casual social interaction. The Gaggenau VIP Lounge will once again attract distinguished chefs and hold various parties and cocktail hours.
Supercar clubs
The car display will be exceptional this year and feature the world’s leading supercars, including Aston Martin, Bentley, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce and for the first time in China the highly revered brand McLaren, which will unveil its unique model P1. Several supercar clubs are driving from their cities to attend the show, and this year HRV guests will be able to test drive many of the amazing autos in the HRV supercar showcase.
Cultural encounters
This year’s Art in Hainan exhibition is themed “Jardin D’Art” and is being curated by Ms. Song Xianjun of the Art Labor Gallery in Shanghai. Several lectures and seminars will be organised within the Art Lounge located within the Visun Royal Yacht Club.
The French Pavilion located next to the entrance of the show will welcome guests to a Daily “French Aperitif” celebrating wines and the French high-end brands while the renowned wine educator Jean Marc Quarin will give daily classes on fine wines. Caviar tasting sponsored by Sturia Caviar will take place daily from 4-5pm at a new venue called the Ice Bar.
Pure fun
Night is when fun at HRV reaches maximum intensity, with parties held on the piers of the marina, in the Visun Yacht Club Hotel and offsite in various venues across town.
The Migrator’s Club, an organisation dedicated to creating elite parties, will hold its 2nd Official ‘White Party’. Los-Angeles-based hip-hop group Far East Movement will energize the dance floor of this event with the beats that made it the first Asian American music group to hit #1 on America’s Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Le Cercle, Pernod-Ricard’s Elite Club, will host the CEO’s Private Lunch for leaders of China’s top 30 companies while Ballentine’s Sanya Golf Team Trophy, a golf tournament with 36 teams of four players each, takes place on the third day of the show.
“Making HRV enjoyable and meaningful to show guests is key to ensuring the success of our sponsors and exhibitors,” said Diana Jaquier, Managing Director of China Rendez-Vous Ltd. “We therefore strive to create settings and experiences that are not only enthralling, but that also create the right conditions for social interaction and celebration.”
Diamonds and Celebrities
Show visitors this year may also glimpse one of the rarest gems on earth, an enormous chameleon diamond. Named for of its unexplained capacity to change colours, the jewel is being displayed by renowned Swiss jewellery and watch maker Chopard, which is sponsoring HRV for its 4th consecutive year.
Celebrities also invariably add to the sparkle of HRV events. Stars attending HRV 2013 will include the charismatic Hong Kong actress and singer-songwriter Karen Mok, who will perform with internationally acclaimed pianist Xu Zhong at the Chopard Temptations Gala Dinner on April 1st. Other scheduled appearances by Ms. Mok at Hainan Rendez-Vous will be announced soon.
