As confirmed today by its organisers, the Hainan Rendez-Vous will be once again hosted by the shores of Sanya City on March 30th – April 2nd, 2013. This highly anticipated show is famous within China as a top elite society event that draws attention of the world’s most prestigious brands of business jets, superyachts as well as ultimate lifestyle products.
The event will take place at Visun Royal Yacht Club Marina and Phoenix International Airport VIP terminal.“The new edition of the show, moreover, will be significantly broader in scope and scale” announced Delphine Lignieres, chairwoman of China Rendez-Vous Ltd and Hainan Events Ltd, “with more exhibitors, more networking events, more lifestyle experiences, and exciting new programs in the areas of private business jet, superyachts, jewellery, art, design and fashion”.
Hainan Rendez-Vous 2013 will be the fourth edition of the yearly event that has attracted successively larger numbers of China‘s top entrepreneurs and corporate leaders. Over 20,000 visitors attended last April’s edition, including over 10,000 specially invited VIPs. With a solid base of exhibitors and sponsors already booked for next year, organisers have confidently enlarged the show management team and construction has commenced on new infrastructure to encompass 2013’s expanded program. New marketing efforts are being made, to ensure a large turnout of new highly qualified visitors by promoting Hainan Rendez-Vous in affluent areas of China that remain largely untapped by luxury marketers.
Among the important differences that will set Hainan Rendez-Vous 2013 apart from previous editions is the relocation of the show’s business jet static display to Phoenix International Airport’s impressive new VIP terminal. A stunning building that harmoniously fuses ancient Chinese architecture, elements of Sanya’s natural environment and imaginative contemporary design, the new VIP terminal offers luxuriously appointed private spaces and discreetly attentive services comparable to those of the world’s top VIP airport terminals.
Aviation will also feature more prominently at HRV 2013 due to a new exhibition layout. Clustered next to the entrance at HRV 2012, the booths of private jet makers will now be intermingled with superyacht and megayacht exhibitors, thus affording VVIP guests better access to these top categories of the ultimate lifestyle. Organisers say that based on the number of aviation exhibitors that have already confirmed participation, the jet industry as a whole will have an even larger presence at the 2013 show.
Yachts at Hainan Rendez-Vous have grown in both number and size with successive show editions, a result of the significant amount of opportunities and deals generated for exhibiting shipyards. Organisers say Hainan Rendez-Vous 2013 will see a larger fleet still, as some of the remaining luxury yacht brands that have yet to exhibit at the event have indicated they will do so next year. Several impressive 50m+ units will make their China debut at the show.
New show infrastructure will include a supercar test drive course, and a new second-floor restaurant inside the auto exhibit building that will provide excellent views of the sleek sports cars and top level models that thrilled visitors at the last edition.
The Lifestyle Collection promenade, which at last April’s show featured over a dozen of France‘s most esteemed maisons de luxe, is being further extended to accommodate another 20 exhibitors. A portion of the new space is expected to be taken by elite luxury apparel labels, which will also be showcased in exclusive private viewing events, a new element of the show that will provide a fine counterpoint to its many parties and gala dinners.
The Art in Hainan exhibition at Hainan Rendez-Vous 2013 will again return with a wider perspective. Works by a variety of renowned contemporary masters will once again be displayed, and organisers are also currently negotiating to bring to the show several pieces by two of history’s greatest artists. “Art enlightens our daily life and therefore should definitely be integrated into this amazing lifestyle event. With this new concept of bringing art to a natural environment, we wish to bring more cultural artists, art galleries and major artists to the island.” Said Delphine Lignieres, chairwoman of China Rendez-Vous Ltd and Hainan Events Ltd.
Show visitors next year will enjoy yet further discovery and experience opportunities in a dedicated program of formal wine tastings, in conferences on wealth management and art, as well as through many other activities, the details of which will all soon be revealed.
The new programs for superyachts, art, fashion and design that will debut at Hainan Rendez-Vous 2013 will surely draw crowds of new elites to the show, thereby enhancing its value as a business networking platform, while at the same time adding further vitality to the lively parties and gala dinners that run day and night throughout the four-day event.
With sales of business jets, yachts and general luxury consumption continuing to rise in China, HRV 2013 will take place at a time when big ticket product brands must solidify their market position in order to lock in future success. As a major annual event for China’s ultra-high net worth consumers, Hainan Rendez-Vous offers unmatched opportunities for these brands to impress and connect with potential customers in this enormous and still-expanding market.
