Dutch shipyard Heesen has begun construction on a third yacht from its new 50m/164ft semi-displacement class at its shipyard in Oss, HULL YN 20350 known as luxury yacht PROJECT JADE, with the first welds to the keel carried out in the presence of the American Bureau of Shipping surveyor.
Motor yacht PROJECT JADE features a modern athletic appearance from Omega Architects with shrewd design features such as the reverse sheer towards the bow for improved visibility from the bridge. Owners and guests have a large beach club and terrace for lounging close to the water, and a sunbed above on the main deck aft to relax with sweeping views of the surroundings.
Inside Italian designer, Cristiano Gatto has created a modern yet intimate living environment that can be further personalised by her future Owner.
The accommodation sleeps a total of 12 guests over 5 en-suite cabins: 1 main deck Master suite, and on the lower deck 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins that both have a Pullman berth.
The 50-metre fast-cruising class is the first of its kind under 500 GT to comply with IMO Tier III regulations: Smart naval architecture and the advanced twin MTU 16V 4000 M65L (IMO Tier III) engines allow M/Y PROJECT JADE to reach a top speed over 23 knots and travel a distance of 3,100 nautical miles at 11 knots, providing Owners and guests with versatile cruising options. By streamlining the underwater body, raising the propellers by creating propeller tunnels and keeping the transom depth to a minimum, the hull design has efficiency gains of 12 per cent.
Luxury yacht PROJECT JADE will be ready for delivery in Spring 2024.
