After extensive sea trials in the North Sea, Heesen superyacht ERICA (ex Project Boreas, YN 18650) has been delivered to her owners.
She was designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, who created her masculine dark-silver exterior. Mark Whiteley worked on the creation of the yacht’s interiors, which boast contemporary design combined with fantastic geometry, precious materials and a nickel mesh wall covering by French artist Sophie Mallebranche.
Motor yacht ERICA has been delivered to the owners who value fast delivery approach at Heesen Yachts, and who are planning to cruise in the best yachting spots with a large family and grandchildren. This superyacht is a great example of how a discerning client can personalise the pre-engineered design platform of a hull already in construction, considerably shortening the delivery time while still being able to customise some features.
ERICA is fitted with two MTU 12V 2000M72 engines and an FDHF, created by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, which provides efficient cruising speed, fantastic manoeuvrability and ultimate comfort. She is capable of reaching a top speed of 20 knots, which had been tested during her sea trials, exceeding the number laid out in her specifications.
