Great news comes from Heesen Yachts, as they commission the new 55m superyacht Project Antares to an American client. Also known as Hull Y18455, Project Antares is another Heesen luxury yacht, which takes advantage of the expert knowledge of the leading designers and engineers. Sharp lines and masculine looks were created by Omega Architects, while the leading superyacht designer Francesco Paszkowski developed an elegant interior design concept for this luxury vessel. Project Antares will boast a Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) designed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects.
Motor yacht Project Antares will accommodate 12 guests in 6 cabins. Her accommodation layout consists of two full-beam VIP staterooms, two double cabins and the outstanding owner’s apartment of a very generous size.
Project Antares is being built for Heesen’s client, how is very much fond of sportfishing. The idea being Project Antares’s design is to use her as a mothership to the owner’s fishing boat. One or two sportfishing boats can be charged and fueled from superyacht Project Antares.
Francesco Paszkowski commented:
“The style we have created in collaboration with Margherita Casprini for this new Heesen 55 metre couples the aesthetics of the most contemporary Italian design with the ingenious engineering typical of this Dutch shipyard.”
Project Antares is scheduled for delivery in November 2018.
Heesen Yachts is one of the leading shipbuilders in the world, for whom 2017 has been a very busy year so far. Heesen 50m superyacht Home was launched less than a month ago. In March 2017 Heesen sold Project Alida, which is expected to be launched this summer. Unveiled in early March, Project Maia is currently under construction as well and is due for completion in 2018.
