Heesen’s press conference at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show included the unveiling of 49.9m (163’ 8”) superyacht PROJECT GRACE, the shipyard’s brand new 50m Steel superyacht. The creative presentation was accompanied by a live sketching of the yacht’s profile, which was inspired by evocative words like elegance, flow and simplicity, confidence and sporty.
Naval architecture by Van Oossanen complements interior and exterior designs from Harrison Eidsgaard to deliver a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. The yacht will accommodate 12 guests in six staterooms with five additional cabins for nine crew members.
Peder Eidsgaard was interviewed about the design process and referred to it as, “a fresh start which defines the future of the shipyard and a future design language.”
A massive sun deck and beach lounge which connects to the sea and the pool are accompanied by a huge tender garage to create the perfect yachting experience. The new sporty bow line is a starting point for the flowing lines along the structure.
Having completed the exterior design Peder says he is, “looking forward to the interior design phase and ultimately the boat hitting the water”.
We look forward to it too.
