Heesen Yachts announced the delivery of its latest vessel, the YN 20457 motor yacht SANTOSHA. This bespoke 57-meter superyacht was tailored to the distinct preferences of her new owners. With years of extensive chartering experience, the owners worked closely with Heesen’s team to bring their vision to life, resulting in a yacht that embodies luxury, performance, and innovative design.
Niels Vaessen, CEO of Heesen, expressed his gratitude for the successful partnership: “Building SANTOSHA was an honour. The dedication from both teams has set a new benchmark for Heesen yachts, ensuring unparalleled comfort and style for those who love cruising.”
While on sea trials in the North Sea, SANTOSHA showcased her superior speed, performance, and stability, navigating various conditions with ease. Captain Bob van Zundert praised the vessel’s smooth and exhilarating operation. Powered by two MTU 16V 4000 M65L engines, SANTOSHA reaches an impressive top speed of 22 knots, a remarkable achievement for a superyacht of her size, which displaces around 510 tonnes at half load.
First in a new series of 57-meter all-aluminium yachts, SANTOSHA boasts a sleek, efficient Fast Displacement Hull Form, contributing to her versatility and hydrodynamic efficiency. Peter van der Zanden, Heesen’s Head of Engineering, highlighted the importance of precise weight calculations in achieving the yacht’s shallow draft, making her ideal for exploring popular yacht charter destinations as the Bahamas or the Caribbean.
The yacht’s design, with exteriors by Omega and interiors by Harrison Eidsgaard, features a 780 GT volume and almost 400 sqm of luxurious living space. Six staterooms, including a 63 sqm owner’s suite, offer accommodations for twelve guests, while generous outdoor areas enhance the onboard experience. SANTOSHA is set to make her public debut at the Palm Beach International Boat Show in March 2025, marking a new era of luxury yachting.
