Heesen Yachts is thrilled to announce the christening and delivery of their latest masterpiece, YN 20350, christened motor yacht ALP. The ceremony, a time-honoured maritime tradition, took place in Hellevoetsluis, South Holland, where ALP has been berthed after conducting stringent North Sea trials and preparing for her maiden voyage.
Mark Cavendish, Heesen’s Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the significance of this event, stating, “This time-honoured maritime tradition not only forges a bond between the vessel, the shipyard, the crew, and the sea but also invokes a sense of pride and anticipation for ALP’s future journeys. On behalf of everyone at Heesen, I would like to express our gratitude to Jim Evans and his team at Superyachts Monaco for their exceptional collaboration on this project.”
ALP is a remarkable addition to Heesen’s acclaimed 50-meter semi-displacement series. Designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, her exterior lines convey both speed and elegance, featuring a sporty yet sophisticated aesthetic. With a top speed of 23 knots, ALP promises fast cruising blended with unparalleled comfort and luxury. This exceptional performance is the result of meticulous engineering, precise aluminium construction, and stringent weight control, showcasing Heesen’s expertise in building aluminium hulls to the finest tolerances.
The interior of ALP, spanning almost 380 square meters, was crafted by Cristiano Gatto’s team in collaboration with Heesen’s in-house engineers. The result is a contemporary, comfortable space that serves as a haven for relaxation after a day at sea. Heesen Interiors, the shipyard’s fine cabinet-making company based in Winterswijk, played a crucial role in accommodating last-minute requests to personalize the interior furniture to the client’s preference.
ALP’s generous outdoor spaces are perfect for entertaining guests. The expansive sundeck features a whirlpool surrounded by sun pads aft, a fully equipped bar, a dining area, and a forward seating area, all partially protected by a hardtop. The wheelhouse deck aft terrace, ideal for al fresco dining, seamlessly connects with the sky lounge through flush sliding doors, creating a vast indoor-outdoor area.
The main deck aft includes raised sun pads serviced by an adjacent bar, enhancing guest privacy when docked stern-to in a marina and allowing for a full-height beach club below. When the transom door is open, it connects seamlessly with the beach club, creating a prime spot for entertainment by the sea.
With a shallow draft of just 2.1 meters, ALP is perfect for exploring the crystal-clear waters of the Bahamas. Her 50-meter length makes her ideal for cruising the beautiful Mediterranean ports like Portofino and Saint Tropez.
ALP has now left the Netherlands for her maiden voyage to the Mediterranean, ready to embark on new adventures and showcase the pinnacle of Heesen’s craftsmanship and innovation.
