Heesen Yachts has proudly delivered YN 20555, the 55-meter steel luxury yacht Serena, marking the first major launch of 2025. Serena exemplifies the seamless fusion of Dutch engineering and Italian design, ensuring both performance and luxury.
Rick van de Wetering, Chief Operations Officer at Heesen Yachts, expressed his satisfaction: “We are delighted with the delivery of the first yacht in 2025, another successful project with Arcon Yachts Monaco. Their expertise ensured a smooth process from start to finish. Serena stands out as a unique blend of superyacht excellence and personal customization, built on a proven platform for reliability.”
Engineering Excellence and Performance
Built for long-range cruising, Serena features an ultra-efficient fast displacement hull form (FDHF), offering a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots. Powered by two MTU 8V 4000 M63 engines, she reaches a top speed of 15.5 knots while maintaining optimal fuel efficiency and meeting IMO Tier III standards. Designed by Omega Architects, her exterior harmonizes perfectly with Luca Dini‘s luxurious interior vision, accommodating 12 guests across five staterooms.
A Refined and Versatile Interior
The owners played a hands-on role in the design process, working closely with Heesen engineers and Luca Dini’s team to create an elegant yet comfortable atmosphere. Thoughtful seating arrangements and premium materials ensure a welcoming environment for extended stays.
The main saloon is divided into three areas, including a fully equipped bar that enhances the transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. The Sky Lounge serves as a social hub with a customized games table, while the beach club, bathed in natural light, offers a serene retreat complete with a sauna finished in elegant wood.
Serena’s owner’s suite, located on the main deck, features a lounge, office space, and a full-beam cabin with a private veranda. The lower deck houses four guest staterooms with luxurious en-suite marble bathrooms, while the bridge deck gym can be converted into an extra cabin if needed.
Setting a New Standard in Yachting
Despite her 760 GT internal volume, Serena maintains remarkable maneuverability. Shipyard captain Bob van Zundert praised her handling, stating, “She is responsive and listens to commands very well. Our 55m series gives captains confidence and assurance to sail comfortably at sea.”
As the first of many stunning yachts set for delivery in 2025, Serena sets the stage for an exciting year in luxury yachting.
