Heesen has announced the delivery of 55m/180ft superyacht LAURENTIA (ex. YN 17755, Project Alida) to her new owners.
M/Y LAURENTIA faced moderate conditions during her sea trials, where she surpassed her contracted top speed to reach up to 16.6 knots. Large rudders coupled with a powerful steering unit and the high pitch of the propellers ensured that luxury yacht LAURENTIA responded immediately to commands during trials – a huge advantage in strong winds, particularly in shallow waters.
The designer chose Ramon Alonso from Miami-based design group RADYCA to create her interiors which use white oak and wenge in a variety of tones to create a tranquil atmosphere, with furniture from European and American brands covered in grey leather and pale suede to match the wool carpets. White Arabescato and Grecale brown marble slabs complete the high-quality interiors for a clean and contemporary environment while cruising.
