The 2018 edition of the Dubai International Boat Show (DIBS) was hosted at a new location this year, stretching along the culturally rich Dubai Canal and showcasing the latest and greatest luxury yachts and water toys while impressing visitors with unique yachting experiences and a wonderful party vibe.
As construction on the Dubai Harbour continued, the largest names in the yachting industry including Feadship, Amels, Gulf Craft were in attendance at the new location. The brand new Gulf Craft MAJESTY 140 was given its public debut at the event, and classic vessels such as luxury charter yacht CHAKRA enticed visitors with an incredible refit and entertainment-oriented amenities.
‘The Future of Yachting’ and ‘Luxury Boulevard’ were two new sections added to DIBS this year, and attendees from previous years also had the opportunity to try out some of the latest water toys as well as take part against others in a paddleboard race.
To get more people out onto the water and experience the advantage of sails, the Dubai International Boat Show provided a free sailing experience for visitors and in the evening the fun continued with a Nikki Beach pop-up club that entertained with DJs and live performers.
Flyboard stunts illuminated by flares wowed the audience with just how versatile this popular luxury yacht charter water toy can be, and the event gave a true taste of what would be coming up for the superyacht social calendar throughout the summer months in the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
The next DIBS event is scheduled for 26th February – 2nd March 2019.
