Heesen has announced that its latest 50m Steel Class luxury yacht PROJECT OSLO24 (YN 20150) has been sold. This is the second yacht the shipyard has sold in December and the fifth in 2020.
The Owner has drawn on his wealth of experience as a yachtsman to provide practical and technical ideas which will make PROJECT OSLO24 a truly customised yacht. The Owner will also Captain her, taking her through fjords, rivers and canals as well as more populated seas, and to clear bridge heights of 13.4m/43.9ft a folding mast is among one of her notable features.
Clifford Denn created her timeless exterior appearance, while Luca Dini Design & Architecture will create sophisticated yet laid back interiors. The beach club has a wellness centre and is illuminated by sunlight shimmering through the glass bottom of the main deck aft swimming pool installed with water jets. The foredeck has its own fire pit to take off the autumnal chill and for atmospheric evenings watching the sunset – or even the Northern Lights.
The accommodation places the Master suite on the main deck forward, a full-beam suite with an office on the lower deck where the rest of the guest accommodation is located. There is also a Captain’s cabin behind the helm station which will act as the Owner’s private office with a fold-out bed for rest during long journeys.
Behind the accomplished appearance is the very latest technology designed to minimise the impact on marine environments, and the Owner has opted for the hybrid propulsion package which provides a cleaner, quieter and more efficient operations compared to conventional engines and generators.
A pair of MTU 8V4000 M63 (IMO Tier III) engines act as the primary source of power, and both are connected to a water-cooled, 135kW Danfoss electric motor on the same propeller shaft for three versatile modes:
- Silent mode – Useful for overnight cruising at low speeds
- Economic mode – With Power Take-Off (PTO)
- Cruising mode – Without PTO
Motor yacht PROJECT OSLO24 is due for delivery in March 2024.
