The well known Dutch luxury yacht builder, Moonen Shipyards, has recently appointed Holland Yachts as its new agent for Russia. The main task of Holland Yachts, the perfect partner for a shipyard that has already delivered several superyachts to Russian clients, is to bring excellent Dutch quality to the fast-growing Russian market.
Holland Yachts - a new agent for Moonen in Russia
Holland Yachts was founded in St Petersburg in 2005 and its director Leo Neumayer has seen the enormous potential of the Russian market continued to grow despite the global recession. “The Russians have really caught the yachting bug and even the economic crisis has not stopped them enjoying the sailing lifestyle in increasingly larger yachts. We have also opened an office in the elegant new port of Tivat in Montenegro, which has rapidly become a key meeting point of superyachts owned by Russians.”
With the demands of its clients continually increasing, Holland Yachts was looking for a partnership with a reliable brand that was capable of building yachts over 23 metres. “Quality was equally as important as length,” adds Neumayer. “Russian owners expect nothing but the best and yachtbuilders in Holland are viewed through this lens. With more Russians commissioning superyachts from Moonen, we are delighted to become the yard’s agent in this area of the world.”
Moonen 82 Alu superyacht My Way
The most recent Moonen to be delivered to a Russian client was the fast displacement Moonen 82 Alu motor yacht My Way. According to Neumayer, the success of this project reflects a growing trend among more sophisticated Russian owners.
“After gaining experience with mass-production GRP yachts, many Russians are keen to take a more individual approach,” he says. “They are much more interested in owning an exclusive yacht made in aluminium or steel. Add in the phenomenal technology and craftsmanship available at Moonen Shipyards and you have the perfect solution. Our goal now is to ensure that the cooperation with Holland Yachts also provides a superior standard of service to all our clients.”
