Horizon has launched their fourth Horizon Elegance 88 motor yacht Mineral Water. Yacht Mineral Water successfully completed her sea trials on October 13th 2011 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The new owner and his family were present at the sea trials of M/Y Mineral Water, which will now be shipped to her new home in Australia.
The E88 M/Y Mineral Water was built with a few custom features which were requested by the owners including an optimally designed shaft system and used lightweight materials to attain the lowest possible draft for the yacht. The new owners also wanted their new superyacht Mineral Water to meet height restrictions for cruising under bridges, so Horizon built a radar arch with a foldable feature reducing the overall height of the yacht.
Mineral Waters’ owner knows the quality of a Horizon yacht first hand as he previously owned a Horizon E73 motor yacht. The Mineral Water motor yacht will be shipped to Australia in early November, so it can arrive in time for Christmas.
The Horizon E88 yacht Mineral Water is powered by twin MTU 1920HP engines, which enabled her to achieve a speed of 23 knots under fully loaded conditions at sea trials.
The Horizon E88 motor yacht was designed by John Lindblom and combines a performance-oriented hull with a sleek superstructure. The yacht features a contemporary style vessel, while retaining the family resemblance to the other models in the Elegance Series. The interior layout of the E88 inherits Horizon’s successful concept of ensuring living comfort with spacious accommodations.
The Horizon Group builds 50-to-130 foot luxury yachts to the highest technological standards for safety, sea keeping and durability, and offers optional DNV Classification and MCA compliance.
