Horizon Group is thrilled to announce the launch of motor yacht Carnival Liberty 3, representing hull two of the new RP110 raised pilothouse model. Luxury superyacht Carnival Liberty 3 will make her premiere at the 2014 Taiwan International Boat Show in Kaohsiung, Taiwan from May 8th-11th. Subsequently, she is due to be delivered to her third-time Horizon owner in Japan this June.
“We are excited to launch hull two of the Horizon RP110 superyacht, a model that has seen so much success already,” said Horizon CEO John Lu. “We have greatly enjoyed working with her experienced owner in bringing his vision to life; it is also an honor for us to debut ‘Carnival Liberty 3’ at the first boat show in our home country.”
Horizon launched the first Horizon RP110 superyacht “Andrea VI” last summer and delivered her to the U.S. owners in November. As with hull one, luxury yacht “Carnival Liberty 3” has been customized to suit her owner, who chose a number of layout configurations and features that separate her from her sistership. To bring a taste of modern luxury to his superyacht, the owner worked with famous Italian designer Luca Dini on the interior décor.
For the RP110 yacht Carnival Liberty 3, the main deck focuses on functionality for entertaining: the salon incorporates a built-in sofa and a step-down wet bar; the formal dining area seats 10; the galley is fully equipped and offers access to the crew quarters; and a large storage area is accessible from the companionway. The owner opted for the five stateroom layout, with an on-deck master and the remaining four staterooms below deck — two mirrored VIP staterooms midship, and two twin guest staterooms forward. Crew quarters and mess are completely forward on the lower deck and sleep a total of six.
A major feature for the RP110 superyacht Carnival Liberty 3 is the tender garage, which has a hydraulic garage door and a davit for easy tender launch and retrieval, also a Hi/Lo swim platform for diving or jet skis; the garage also includes a day head, work bench, and storage for flexible use as a beach club. On the aft deck, Horizon built a custom bait tank to satisfy the owner’s love of fishing; the aft deck has traditional dinette seating for 10 persons and offers an access door to the tender garage. The owner chose two dinette seating areas aft the bar and the BBQ for entertaining on the flybridge; a Spa Pool and space for a second tender or lounge chairs are located on the boat deck.
Carnival Liberty 3 yacht retains the sleek Horizon RP110 exterior styling from J.C. Espinosa as well as the double-chine hull design, the result of two years of collaborative work from Horizon and Donald Blount and Associates; the hull design provides low resistance at low speed and high dynamic stability at high speed as well as a shallow draft.
Superyacht Carnival Liberty 3 is powered by twin CAT C32A 1900HP engines and reaches a cruising speed of 18 knots and a top speed of 22 knots – her owner noted his extreme satisfaction with her performance during the April 10th sea trial. Following the delivery of his new superyacht, the owner plans to cruise and fish with his family on board “Carnival Liberty 3” in Japan.
The Horizon RP110 superyacht model is a global success for Horizon, with hull three slated for Australia this year, hull four is under discussion for Malaysia, and hull five is as well with other clients. This variety of clientele, layouts, and amenities offered showcases the versatility of the Horizon RP110 superyacht model as well as Horizon’s flexibility as a custom luxury yacht builder.
