As summer comes to a conclusion, the staff at Horizon Yachts is still busy with new yacht build orders, sea trails, as well as deliveries to owners. This summer saw the Taiwan-based builder hand over six luxury yachts around the world, complete refit and maintenance services for one yacht, and the company is currently putting the final touches on one superyacht for autumn delivery. This is in addition to the current nine yachts in various stages of build and the seven new yachts that have just started their construction process – for total activity on 24 Horizon yachts during this period.
Just last week, Horizon shipped the brand-new Horizon E88 (example is motor yacht Mechtilda), one of four sold in the U.S. this summer, to her U.S. owner in Florida; the yacht is slated to showcase with Horizon Yacht USA at the 2014 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October. Hull one of the new Horizon V80 motor yacht “The One” delivered to her Taiwan owner, and she has just completed her first overseas cruise to Ishigaki Island, Japan with the owner. “Lady Lil,” hull eight of the PC60 power catamaran model, was delivered to her new U.S. owner at the end of August and is currently cruising in the Northeast.
Two E56 motoryachts also were delivered to new owners – a burgundy hull to a Taiwan owner following the first Taiwan International Boat Show, and one featuring a custom Porsche metallic paint to Australia. Last but certainly not least, hull one of the PC52 power catamaran “Quintessence” was delivered to her U.S. owners, who plan to cruise her in Florida and the Bahamas. Still under construction but in her final phase is hull three of the popular RP110 superyacht model (example is superyacht Andrea VI); she will be delivered to her owner in Australia this fall. The Atech Composites shipyard, which is responsible for providing all of Horizon’s composite hulls, decks and superstructures, has recently completed 7 new yacht hulls ranging from 56 to 88 feet; these will be transported to Horizon shipyards for the remainder of the build process. Horizon also has nine luxury yachts, ranging from 52-110 feet, currently in build for various markets.
Horizon’s new refit and maintenance service is active as well with the Horizon RP97 yacht “Victorious” – the yacht traveled from her home port in Hong Kong to Kaohsiung for yearly maintenance as well as an exterior bar refit. Upon re-launching “Victorious”, the owner plans to cruise to Penghu Islands before returning to Hong Kong.
Horizon is extremely happy with their summer activity and the flow of deliveries and new build orders; they expect this high level of activity to continue and look forward to what the fall season brings!
