Perini Navi announces, that the 60m Perini Series Sailing Yacht – hull C.2193 has been turned and is now upright at their Turkish facility Perini Istanbul-Yildiz shipyard. The 60-metre C.2193 superyacht is the first of the two 60M Perini series yachts sold by Perini Navi. The 92 tonne sailing yacht Hull C.2193 stands out for being the heaviest turned to date at the Group’s Turkish shipyard and the occasion of the turning has offered an opportunity to admire the lines of a hull which is the natural evolution of the 56m Perini series. This 60m Perini series superyacht hull C.2193 guarantees speed, extreme comfort and ample living spaces both indoors and outdoors.
The aluminium hull and superstructure will result in a full load displacement of approximately 570 tonnes for a less than 500 gross tonnes vessel. The Perini hull C.2193 will soon be transferred to the Perini Navi Viareggio shipyard for outfitting scheduled to be completed for delivery in early summer 2013. The C.2193 ketch, designed by Perini Navi naval architects in collaboration with New Zealander Ron Holland, will also be the first vessel equipped with new generation Perini Navi sail handling equipment and a centreboard varying the draught from 9.79m to 4.00m.
Works will continue without pause at the Perini Istanbul-Yildiz shipyard where the construction of the second 60m yacht sold by Perini Navi, a sloop numbered C.2218, has already begun in anticipation of delivery scheduled for the year 2014. At the same time, work on the 40m fast cruising cutter is also proceeding apace and delivery is scheduled to take place in Turkey by the end of summer 2012. As for motor yachts, construction of the 73m Picchiotti yacht from the Vitruvius® series, the third motor yacht sold by the Perini Navi Group, continues in Perini Istanbul-Yildiz and in early 2012 the hull will be transferred for outfitting and completion in La Spezia with delivery due in 2013.
