The 71m ‘HydroTec Global Explorer’ motor yacht designed by Hydro Tec is to be built by the Italian shipyard Palumbo. The 71.10m (233.27ft) Global Explorer yacht is a high volume expedition vessel, designed to circumnavigate the world. To be built to RINA class and MCA compliant, the Hydrotec Global Explorer has a build time of 30-36 months.
The HydroTec Global Explorer 71 metre will be built with a steel hull and have a lightweight but strong alloy superstructure. The yacht will feature a displacement round bilge hull, a bulbous bow, with twin screw and transom stern. The HydroTec Explorer yacht is a sturdy yacht which will withstand the harshest weather conditions whilst providing spacious and luxurious accommodation.
Spanning 4 decks, the key features of HydroTec Global Explorer Superyacht include a helicopter landing zone on her large aft deck, an infinity pool, a large upper deck private master study & suite, a cinema, wine cellar, gymnasium, extra refrigeration and freezers for extensive cruising with a 6000-7500nm range.
It is also possible the design will utilize Azipod technology versus the typical straight shaft and can incorporate diesel electric power plants to make the yacht more efficient with lower carbon emissions.
The Global Explorer yacht will be able to accommodate up to 20 guests in a spacious master cabin, a VIP suite and eight guest cabins.
The yacht will also have the ability to carry a tender of up to 45ft with multiple toys, dive center with decompression chamber and custom storage.
It is expected that the 71m ‘HydroTec Global Explorer’ yacht will be delivered in 2013
