This year’s International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) will feature a series of special sessions on market intelligence for the boating industry, presented by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA).
The NMMA special sessions, which will be held 8:00-10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, and Thursday, October 4, will provide research data on the outlook for the U.S. economy, its impact on the boating industry, the boat accessory market and brand loyalty in the boating market.
“I encourage industry stakeholders to attend NMMA’s new market intelligence sessions to help grow their business. Presented by top experts in their field, the sessions will provide useful and actionable insights into the economic conditions that will affect the boating marketplace in the next 12 to 18 months,” said Thom Dammrich, NMMA president.
Speakers for the sessions are:
– Don Norman, senior economist, Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity outlook for the U.S. economy for 2012-2013
– Rob Southwick, president, Southwick Associates – findings from a study on economic impact of outdoor recreation
– Ron Hein, executive vice president, Foresight Research – results of 2011 boat accessory market study
