Yacht refit and project management specialist International Marine Management (IMM) is proud to announce an agreement with ENA, the manager of a 180-metre dry dock in Fort de France, Martinique, allowing exclusive access to the facility for superyachts. The announcement represents an important development in the refit as well as maintenance infrastructure that is accessible to private and charter yachts in the Caribbean.
Norina Edelman, one of the directors of IMM, said: “We are thrilled with this new addition to our capacity. A dry dock of this scale under the management of our experienced project managers is a unique offering in the Caribbean. Having originally worked in Europe, our team is familiar with working on 100m+ superyachts and the unique challenges that these very large vessels present.”
180m long, 23,5m wide, with 7,6m draft (above the blocks), the dry dock is centrally positioned in Fort de France, in an ISPS-compliant area. It is the only dry dock of its size in the area. The yachting projects in the Martinique facility will be managed by two of IMM’s principals, Fabrice Maitre and Jean-Michel Beron, who have been responsible for a wide range of complex refits throughout the French Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts.
Since 2010, IMM has managed several refits in the Martinique dry dock; each delivered on time, on budget and to a European yachting-quality standard. The captain of a 70+m motor yacht that had work performed in the dock said: “The combination of IMM project management and the dry dock facility in Martinique makes for a unique service at this location. Without hesitation, I also recommend the professional service of IMM to any other yacht captain looking for service in the Caribbean.”
