1. Oceanco Y716
The largest mega yacht expected to be launched this year is Oceanco Y716. This enormous yacht, also known as Project Yasmin, is currently under construction with completion scheduled for 2017. This 95-metre superyacht will have a beam of 14.2m and a draft of 4m. She will be able to reach a maximum speed of 20 knots. The exterior designer of the project is Espen Oeino, while the interior design is by Terence Disdale. Superyacht Yasmin will provide accommodation for a total of 14 guests and 27 crew members.
2. Illusion 88.8
Illusion is a 88.80m motor yacht, due to launch in 2017 from Pride Mega Yachts in China. The yacht’s interior is a work of Sinot Yacht Design, and her exterior styling is by Rainsford Mann Design. Illusion will offer accommodation for up to 14 guests in 7 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 27 crew onboard to ensure thoroughly luxurious yachting experience. Illusion boasts a swimming pool, hi-tech lounges and state-of-the-art double bedded rooms to relax, plus a gymnasium, a cinema theatre, spa and top brass Chinese artwork for decoration. Illusion superyacht would definitely make for an excellent luxurious charter yacht.
3. Sasha
One of the highly secretive projects at the Lurssen shipyard, mega yacht Sasha surely will make to it the top headlines once delivered. Rumour has it, 85m/278.87ft Sasha has a lot of similarities with Lurssen superyacht Solandge, one of the most luxurious charter yachts in the world.
4. Silver Loft
The Australian yacht builder Silver Yachts is currently building the new 85m/72.31ft mega Explorer Silver Loft. Her hull is believed to be the most efficient among those ever produced by the yard. ‘Silver Loft’s versatility and design make it possible to use this massive yacht as a support vessel as well as a superyacht, providing accommodation for a total of 16 guests and 21 crew.
5. White Rabbit Golf
Another superyacht launch is highly anticipated in Australia: Imposing 84m/275.59 ft trimaran White Rabbit Golf is due to be launched this year by Echo Yachts. Sam Sorgiovanni is responsible for beautiful exterior and interior design of this enormous motor yacht. Upon her official launch, White Rabbit Golf will become the largest trimaran in the world.
6. BV80
The 80-metre superyacht BV80 was first unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show by the German Shipbuilder Blohm+Voss in 2014, which attracted much attention due to its timeless styling, competitive price and fast delivery. This semi-custom superyacht will be able to sleep 12 guests in 7 cabins, while her top speed will be 17 knots, with a range of 6,000 at her cruising speed of 12 knots.
7. Turquoise NB 63
Beautiful superyacht Project NB63 is based on the inspiring award-winning 72m Turquoise Yachts Vicky. This massive 77m/252.62 ft vessel provides truly opulent interior and exterior living spaces, while her accommodation is for up to 18 guests. Designed by H2 this beautiful superyacht will sure to turn heads upon her launch in 2017.
8. ICON 250
The impressive 75,80m mega yacht ICON 250 is a first-class vessel, constructed by ICON Yachts. Luxury motor yacht ICON 250 boasts timeless lines by world-renowned Tim Heywood, while her striking interior design is by Studio Massari. She will provide accommodation for a total of 12 guests and 28 crew. Among the luxury facilities of this superyacht are: a large cinema and dining area for 19 guests, a wellness area and gymnasium and a large swimming pool with waterfall.
9. Black Diamond
Scheduled for delivery in 2017, mega yacht Black Diamond is a 77.7m vessel constructed by CBI Navi. The general idea behind her exterior and interior design is to provide an outstanding cruising experience for her guests without compromising any luxury facilities onboard. She was designed inside and out by Ruggiero in collaboration with the owner, who has extensive experience in the megayacht sector.
10. Project Thor
Although only a few details have been revealed about Project Thor, this is undoubtedly one of the most expected yacht launches scheduled for 2017. Project THOR is a breath-taking 74-metre completely custom fast displacement vessel, built by the leading German shipyard, Lurssen. The superb mega yacht Project THOR has been entirely designed by multi-award winning Andrew Winch Designs.
11. Zenith
Currently inbuilt at the prominent Turkish shipyard Sunrise Yachts, the 70-metre superyacht ZENITH (Project SKYFALL) is a striking fast displacement vessel, with a launch in 2017. Famous naval architects Muder Design and Unique Yacht Design closely worked on this project with Sunrise Yachts. Luxury motor yacht ZENITH features exterior design by Andrea Vallicelli & Co., while her interior design is by Focus Yacht Design.
12. Route 66
Designed for “outdoorsy” owners, Route 66 is a graceful 66m/218ft superyacht. Built by ISA Yachts, Route 66 has been named after the famous legendary American highway crossing the States from Illinois to California. A group of highly professional designers have been working on this yacht, and her launch is expected in 2017. The naval architecture has been developed by ISA Technical Department, while her interior design is by Andrea Vallicelli and interior design is by Luxury Projects.
13. Amels YN5503
The 60m/196.85 ft motor yacht Hull 5503 is another fantastic vessel from the Amels 199 Limited Edition Superyacht series. Bespoke designer Tim Heywood drew the sleek lines of her beautiful exterior, while the Italian design studio Nuvolari Lenard made sure this vessel would have an outstanding interior design. She is believed to provide accommodation for 12 guests and 14 crew members.
14. Zeus
The 63-metre superyacht Zeus is a very impressive vessel built by the Dutch shipyard Hakvoort. With a large number of outstanding luxury facilities onboard, Zeus provides comfortable accommodation for 12 guests, assisted by a crew of 16. Her magnificent exterior is by Rene Van Der Velden, while naval architecture is a joint work of the shipyard designer with Diana Yacht Design. 15. Sanlorenzo 62 Steel / 131
Sanlorenzo 62 Steel is a 62m/203.41ft superyacht designed by Oficina Italian Design, which is currently inbuilt and is scheduled for delivery in 2017. This yacht is being built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Powered by 2 Caterpillar Inc – 3512C DITA, she will be able to reach a top speed of 17 knots.
16. Perini Navi C.2232
The impressive 60-metre superyacht Hull C.2232 is an exceptional ketch, which is currently in-build at the Italian shipyard Perini Navi. Sailing yacht Hull C.2232 features naval architecture by the yard’s in-house team in collaboration with famous Ron Holland Design. All-aluminium luxury yacht Hull C.2232 can reach a top speed of 15.5 knots.
17. Aquarius
One of the most expected sailing yacht launches in 2017, Royal Huisman Aquarius is ideal for worldwide cruising. This 56m/183.73ft sailing yacht was designed by Dykstra Naval Architects, who also worked on her naval architecture. She provides luxurious accommodation in 4 magnificent cabins, including a split-level master cabin, with an abundance of natural light, a private deckhouse and cockpit. Accommodation also includes a massive deck salon, three en-suite guest cabins, a media room and even a dedicated fully equipped gymnasium.
18. Ngoni
Designed by Dubois Naval Architects, Ngoni is another sailing superyacht currently being built by Royal Huisman. Measuring 58 metres, this ocean-going cruiser provides excellent innovative and luxury facilities onboard. The all-aluminium Ngoni features a dramatic sheer line and sculpted bow, while a moulded glass superstructure and crisp stern shape add further to her innovative look.
19. Alida
Alida is the most advanced yacht in the 55m class built by Heesen. Alida boasts some incredible features onboard: there is a massive 110 square metres sundeck, a sky lounge wrapped in glass, opulent full-beam master suite, a VIP stateroom and 4 double cabins. She boasts the innovative Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) technology and has economical fuel consumption.
20. Baglietto 55m
Superyacht Baglietto 55m Hull 10225 is a 55-metre yacht with a beam of 10.20 metres and a draft of 3 metres. With 760 GT, Hull 10225 will feature 5 luxury cabins for 10 guests and crew quarters for 11 professionals. Francesco Paszkovski designed the bespoke interior, as well as the outside design. Italian designer Margherita Casprini was also involved in the creation of her interior decó.
21. Pink Gin VI

23. CRN 136 Superconero

Built by the prominent Italian manufacturer Mondomarine, superyacht M54 is a beautiful 54-metre displacement vessel, with delivery in 2017. In 2016, CCN (Cerri Cantieri Navali) announced the sale of the 50-metre fully-custom superyacht FUORISERIE. This yacht was designed by Studio Bacigalupo, while her interior design was developed by Studio Vafiadis. 27. Sanlorenzo 60 Steel
Superyacht Sanlorenzo 60 Steel was sold to a Russian client at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in 2014 and is scheduled for delivery in summer 2017. This 60m yacht design was drawn by Stefano Natucci. She will provide accommodation for 12 guests and 13 crew members.
28. Amels 471
Project 471, is a luxury 55m superyacht by the renowned Dutch shipyard Amels. Similar to the other superyachts from the Amels 180 series, Hull 471 features a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure. Her exterior design is by Tim Heywood. She boasts 3 spacious decks and has striking stainless steel highlights and stylish black accents. 29. Project Nova – Hybrid
Heesen Yachts first presented the 49.8m/163.39ft superyacht project Nova in March 2015. This high-performance vessel gets more speed from its small but powerful engines while maintaining lower emissions and a lower consumption with an extended range. Her eye-catching superstructure was designed in collaboration with Omega Architects, with interior design by Sinot Yacht Design. This hybrid superyacht benefits from silent cruising, which is one of her many outstanding features.
30. Project Ruya
Another important superyacht project by Heesen is the new 47m/154ft steel displacement superyacht Ruya boasts an outstanding profile with Heesen’s hallmark “pelican” bow. Designed by Omega Architects, Ruya has a range of 4,000nm at a cruising speed of 12 knots. She is scheduled for delivery in Spring 2017.
