Nauta Yachts has revealed its latest luxury yacht currently under construction, PROJECT MOONFLOWER, a five-deck vessel with an interior volume of 1,450 GT and a patent-pending beach club design.
The 70m/229ft superyacht was originally signed for at the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show, and naval architecture and engineering is now at an advanced stage with tank testing to begin shortly. Due for launch in 2021/2022, luxury yacht PROJECT MOONFLOWER will be a highly anticipated delivery.
The innovative design has naval architecture and interior and exterior styling from Nauta Yachts, and most notable is the full-beam beach club with fold-down bulwarks and a swim platform that creates a fully-connected walk-around area. The swim platform is also fitted with a seawater swimming pool and the bottom hydraulically lifts to lie seamlessly with the rest of the deck.
The full-beam beach club interior contains a bar and boasts a fire pit and a Nemo window for guests to view below the waterline. Forward and adjacent of the beach club there is a large spa and wellness centre fitted with a hammam, sauna, emotional shower and changing room. From the lower deck to the sundeck, there is a glamorous glass staircase spiralling around the central lift (elevator) for convenient access for all guests.
The main deck aft is designed for receiving additional guests for dockside events and beneath the upper deck overhang, there is a bar on either side. The sun-exposed section is furnished with an abundance of seating, of which the elongated forward-facing sofa is an eye-catching feature.
The upper deck is dedicated to the Owner’s usage with a forward Owner’s apartment measuring 87m²/936ft² with three sides featuring full-height glass windows and further illumination coming from the forward skylight. There is also an Owner’s saloon of 48m²/516ft² and the Owner also has a massive outdoor space, with the foredeck featuring a private lounge, a bow helipad and a protected ‘infinity nest’ in the extreme bow. To the aft, a grand alfresco dining table is placed in the shade close to the doors into the interior, and lining the stern there is a sumptuous outdoor lounge split into two sections for separate conversations.
The bridge deck is designed for quiet, more secluded relaxation with the aft section providing a selection of sun loungers and the forward area fitted with plush seating ideal for relaxation day or night.
The sundeck is perfect for observing regattas and such events like the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with plenty of space for guests to move around, rest on the sun-exposed aft seating area, or sink into the forward Jacuzzi with further relaxation and dining amenities located amidships beneath the hardtop.
At 70 metres, PROJECT MOONFLOWER is also capable of a maximum speed of 16 knots by using two electric motors coupled with five diesel generators. At 12 knots, PROJECT MOONFLOWER will have an impressive range of more than 6,000 nautical miles, which will allow her to reach remote regions without the dependency on refuelling at marinas.
